Dionysos Films is an independent production company founded in 2008 by producer Riina Hyytiä and director-screenwriter Johanna Vuoksenmaa. Both Hyytiä and Vuoksenmaa have over 20 years of professional experience in the field of cinema and television. Other permanent staff members are a junior producer, a line producer, an assistant producer, and a production co-ordinator.
Dionysos Films has established a reputation for high quality productions reaching audiences. The comedy “21 Ways to Ruin a Marriage” had over 400,000 admissions nationally making it number one domestic film in 2013, and the two seasons of TV-series “Click Me” were an audience hit and won five golden Venlas (Finnish equivalent of Emmys). The remake rights of “Click Me” have been sold to B-reel, in Sweden. The company’s third feature film “Adult Camp” premiered in January 2015 and filming of the series “Living with my Ex” began in October 2015.
The company’s first children’s film “Tatu & Patu” – based on a hugely popular Finnish book series – premiers in October 2016.
